Location of Temple Shri Bihari Ji:

This Temple is situated at a distance of 4 Km from Bharatpur Railway Station and Main Bus Stand inside Bharatpur Fort in Bharatpur City, District Bharatpur, Rajasthan.

History of the Temple:

It is believed that at Kadamba Khandi near Kaman in Braj, Chatur Chintamani, a Naga Sage was a great devotee of Lord Krishna. The Lord was pleased with him and gave him his idol. One day, Chatur Chintamani was going to Jaipur with the idol, but at Bharatpur the idol did not move further. So the Raja of Bharatpur constructed a Temple here and the idol was installed. It was built in the year 1760 A.D.

Architecture of the Temple:

It is made of Bansi Pahadpur stone of almond colour. The main gate of the Temple has latticed windows with delicate carving work on either side. The 4 feet high black stone idol of Lord Krishna playing a flute alongwith an idol of Shri Radha Rani are installed in the Sanctum Sanctorum.

Visiting Hours in the Temple:

The Temple remains open on all Days from 5.00 A.M. to 10.00 P.M.
