This Fort is situated at a distance of 80 Km from Baran City in Shahabad City on National Highway 76 in District Baran, Rajasthan.
History of the Fort:
It was constructed in the year 1521 A.D. by Mukutmani Dev, a Chauhan Vanshi Dhandhel Rajput ruler.
Architecture of the Fort:
It is one of the largest and strongest Forts in Hadoti area. It is situated on high mountain ranges in dense forest area and is surrounded by Kundakoh Valley on two sides, ponds on the third side and high rocks on the fourth side. The Topkhana (the place to keep artillery), the Barudkhana (the place to keep ammunition) and some of the Temples inside the Fort can still be seen. The Fort was known to have 18 Cannons in the past with one of the Cannon as large as 19 feet.
