Location of the Temple:

This ancient Temple is situated at a distance of 45 Km from Baran City in the ruined Bilasgarh City of Tehsil Kishanganj, District Baran, Rajasthan.

History of the Temple:

The Bilasgarh was once a big and prosperous City during the rule of King Khechi. The daughter of King Khechi was very beautiful. The Mughal Emperor wanted to marry her forcibly, so he sent a strong Mughal force to capture the City. The Princess, however, ended her life in the Bilasi River to protect her honour. The Spot from where she jumped into the River is now known as ‘Kanyadeah’. The Mughal army destroyed the City to ruins.

Architecture of the Temple:

The ruins of Bilasgarh City can still be seen inside a dense forest area. The remains of Charkhambha Temple are also situated here.
