History:

The construction of this Pond was started in 1804 A.D. and it was completed in 1813 A.D.

Architecture:

It becomes very picturesque during the rainy season. The tank has a flight of steps leading down to the water level and is surrounded by 12 chhatries or cenotaphs built of red marble slabs. The pond is one of the most beautiful places on Earth when brimming with water during the rainy season.
