Location of the Fort:

This huge Fort is located at a distance of 52 Km from Jaipur City, 55 Km from Alwar City and 21 Km from town Thanagazi on the top of a hill in Village Pratapgarh, Tehsil Thanagazi, District Alwar, Rajasthan.

History of the Fort:

It is said to have been built by Maharaja Pratap Singh, the founder of Alwar State, in response to the Maid and Dhola Forts of Jaipur. As it is located at the border of the erstwhile Princely State of Alwar, it may have been built to monitor the activities of the neighbouring State and to defend Alwar.

Architecture of the Fort:

It has huge rampart walls with bastions at regular intervals and two major entry gates. It encloses a big water reservoir to store water for the occupants, an old Temple and some Cannons.
