Location of Shri Nimbarka Teerth:

This Temple is situated at a distance of 18 Km from Kishangarh Railway Station in town Salemabad, District Ajmer, Rajasthan. It is dedicated to Shri Sarveshwar Prabhu.

History of Shri Nimbarka Teerth:

This Temple was constructed in the year 1463 A.D. by Shri Sheoji (the Bhatti Chief of Khejarli) and Shri Gopal Singh Ji Bhatti following instructions of his holiness Shri Nimbarkacharya Peethadhishwara Shri Parashu Ram-Devacharya Ji. It was built to liberate people from the tyrannical practices of a Tantrika Faqir Masting Shah and to propagate Vaishnava doctrines amongst them.

Architecture of Shri Nimbarka Teerth:

The Temple covers an area of 42000 Sq. Ft. of land and is surrounded by a 35 feet high and 6 feet wide rampart wall giving it a Fortress like look. The lime mortar, yellow soil, stone and marble have been used in its construction. It is built on an elevated platform and its main gate known as Singh Pol is approachable by a flight of 7 steps. The wide main gate has two small upraised gates, one on each side, a typical feature of the architectural designs adopted for the main gate of a temple in the 15th century A.D.

The Sanctum Sanctorum has been built in a way that the moonlight of the moon of Sharad Poornima (the full-moon night of the Ashwin Month of the Hindu Calender) touches the lotus feet of the idol of the Lord at 12.00 P.M. This night is associated with Lord Krishna’s Rasa Leela with Radha and other Gopies of Vrindavana. The prayer hall has exquisite marble pillars and their middle part is transparent. The Sanctum Sanctorum has the Shalagram idol of the size of a Abrus Prectorious grain representing Shri Sarveshwar Prabhu. The temple has been so designed that one can have a glimpse of the deity the moment he enters the main gate.

The main Temple is divided into three parts – the central part dedicated to Radha Madhava Ji, the left part dedicated to Shri Acharya Panchayatan and the third part dedicated to Shri Sarveshwar Prabhu Ji. The place where Shri Parshuram Devacharya Ji, the founder of this Teertha, practised asceticism is situated left to the Sanctum Sanctorum. The devotees offer their prayers here to get their wishes fulfilled.

Visiting Hours in Shri Nimbarka Teerth:

The Temple remains open on all days from 5.30 A.M. to 12.00 A.M. and 5.00 P.M. to 8.30 P.M.
