Location of Nasiyan Digambar Jain Temple:

This Temple is situated on Prithviraj Marg in Ajmer City, District Ajmer, Rajasthan. It is dedicated to Lord Rishabhdev, the 1st Tirthankar of Jains.

History of Nasiyan Digambar Jain Temple:

This Temple is also known as Red Temple. The construction of this double storeyed Temple was started in 1864 A.D. and it got completed in 1895 A.D.

Architecture of Nasiyan Digambar Jain Temple:

The First floor of this Temple is also known as Swarna Nagri Hall (the golden city hall). It houses gold plated replicas of all the Jain Temples of the Country. It is estimated that about 1000 kilograms of gold has been used in the construction of the marvel depicting panorama from Jain mythology, and of the ancient towns of Ayodhya and Prayag. The interiors of the Temple are adorned with silver linings and precious stones. The inner chamber of the Temple has the silver balls which are suspended from its ceiling and is surmounted by a spire.

The second floor has a big hall which contains a series of large gold plated wooden figures depicting the Jain mythology. These artifacts reflect the ancient world with a Jainism perception. This hall is decorated with precious gems and glass mosaic, gold and silver work. A beautiful museum is also attached with the temple.

Visiting Hours in the Temple:

The Temple remains open on all days from 8.30 A.M. to 4.30 P.M.
