This Temple is also known as the Pap Mochani Temple. It is dedicated to Goddess Gayatri, the second wife of Lord Brahma.
The Nilgiri Hill is lesser in height as compared to the Ratnagiri Hill located opposite to it on which the Savitri Temple is built. It is said that Goddess Gayatri sits on this lower hill due to the fear of Goddess Savitri. This Temple is situated very close to the Pushkar Bus Stand and one has to climb a track behind the Bus Stand to reach it.
