First Year of Engineering & Technology:
For Maharashtra State Candidates: The candidate should be an Indian National and Passed the HSC or its equivalent exam with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects with 50% marks in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma in Engineering & Technology with 50% marks. OR Passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by the UGC with 50% marks. These candidates should have qualified MHT-CET.
For All India Candidates/ J&K Migrant Candidates: Same as for M.S. Candidates. These candidates should have qualified MHT-CET/ JEE (Main) Paper-1.
Direct Second Year (Lateral Entry):
For M.S. Candidates/ All India Candidates: The candidate should be an Indian National and should have Passed Diploma in Engineering & Technology with 45% marks in appropriate Branch of Engineering & Technology from an AICTE or Central or State Govt. approved Institution. OR Passed B.Sc. Degree from a UGC or AIU recognized University with 45% marks and passed HSC with Mathematics as a subject, provided that students belonging to this category shall clear the subjects of Engg. Graphics/ Engg. Drawing & Engg. Mechanics of the first year Engineering Program along with second year subjects.
Note: The BC/ PwD applicants, belonging to Maharashtra State only, are given a relaxation of 5% of marks in the minimum eligibility requirement.

Admission Procedure in National Power Training Institute Nagpur
A common merit list of eligible candidates is prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying degree and Interview conducted by NPTI Faridabad through conferencing App/ online platforms. 90% and 10% weightage is given to marks obtained in degree and Interview, respectively while preparing the merit list. The shortlisted candidates are required to appear in the Counselling conducted by NPTI Faridabad through conferencing App/ online platforms. The candidates are required to pay counselling fee at least one day before the start of counselling. The Sponsored candidates have to produce sponsorship letter at the time of counselling (For details visit http://npti.gov.in).
Note: The NPTI reserves the right to start/ stop/ change any PG Diploma Program at any Institute and candidates may be asked for transfer to available Courses/ Institutes.
Fee Structure of National Power Training Institute Nagpur

- The fee for B.E. Course (1st year) is Rs. 1,15,985/- for Open/ OBC-Creamy Layer applicants, Rs. 65,871/- for OBC-Non-creamy Layer applicants, Rs. 5,735/- for SC/ST applicants, Rs. 15,758/- for SBC/NT/VJ/DT applicants, Rs. 15,758/- for TFWS candidates & Rs. 25,735/- for J&K Migrant candidates.
- The fee for B.E. Course (Direct 2nd year Lateral Entry) is Rs. 1,24,563/- for Open/ OBC-Creamy Layer applicants, Rs. 70,441/- for OBC-Non-creamy Layer applicants, Rs. 5,493/- for SC/ST applicants & Rs. 16,318/- for SBC/NT/VJ/DT applicants.
- The fee for availing Hostel facility (Lodging only) is Rs. 22,000/- per annum.
The fee for PG Diploma Courses is Rs. 2,30,000/- + GST @18% (Non-sponsored candidates), Rs. 3,60,000/- + GST @18% (sponsored candidates) and US$ 20,000 + GST @18% (International candidates). There is no Fee concession to any category of students.
