Eligibility
  • First Year of Engineering & Technology:
    Pass in 10+2 examination from a recognized Board/University with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects – Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/ Computer Science/ Biology with 45% marks (42.75% marks for SC category candidates, 35% marks for Kashmiri Migrants) in aggregate of three subjects.
    For KM – The percentage is calculated on the basis of marks of Maths, Physics, English and any one of the following (whichever is highest) : Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/ Computer Science/ Biology.
  • Direct Second Year (Lateral Entry):
    Diploma in Engg./ Technology of three years duration from Haryana State Board of Technical Education or its equivalent with 45% marks (42.75% marks for SC category candidates, 35% marks for KM).
    OR Passed B.Sc. degree with 45% marks (42.75% marks for SC category candidates, 35% marks for KM) from a recognized University as defined by UGC & passed XII standard with mathematics as a subject.
Admission Procedure
  • First Year of Engineering & Technology:
    The admission is based on the score in the JEE (Main) Exam conducted by JEE Apex Board of the C.B.S.E. (For details visit www.jeemain.nic.in) and marks scored (normalized) in the Class 12th or 10+2 in the ratio of 60:40. The On-line Off-Campus Counselling for admission is conducted by Haryana State Technical Education Society, Department of Technical Education, Government of Haryana (For details visit www.techadmissionshry.gov.in/ OR www.hstes.org.in/).
    75% seats & Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) seats are filled by HSTES, while the remaining 25% seats (including 15% seats for children/ wards of NRI’s) are filled by the College on the basis of the score in JEE (Main)/ marks in the Qualifying examination.
    The KM & Haryana Govt. School Topper (HGST) seats are filled by HSTES on the basis of marks secured in the qualifying examination (For details visit www.onlinetesthry.gov.in/ OR www.techadmissionshry.gov.in/ OR www.hstes.org.in/).
  • Direct Second Year (Lateral Entry):
    The admission is based on the score in the Online Entrance Test (OLET) for B.E./ B. Tech. LEET and On-line Off-Campus counselling conducted by HSTES (For details visit www.onlinetesthry.gov.in/ OR www.techadmissionshry.gov.in/).

For M. Tech. Mechanical Engineering: B.E./ B. Tech. with 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ST category candidates) in Mechanical/ Industrial/ Production/ Manufacturing/ Welding/ Material Science/ Metallurgy Engineering.
For M. Tech. Electronics & Communication Engineering: B.E./ B. Tech. with 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ST category candidates) in Electronics & Communication Engineering/ Electronics & Instrumentation/ Applied Electronics/ Instrumentation & Control/ Electrical & Electronics/ Electrical Engineering OR M.Sc.(Electronics).
For M. Tech. Civil Engineering: B.E./ B. Tech. with 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ST category candidates) in Civil Engineering.
Admission Procedure
The admission to M. Tech. is based on the score in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science and all the Indian Institutes of Technology on behalf of the National Coordination Board – GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The vacant seats, thereafter, are filled on the basis of the marks secured in the qualifying examination. The admission is done at the College level.

Two Academic years comprising of 4 Semesters.
Fee Structure of Doon Valley College of Engineering
The State Fee Committee has fixed the fee structure for various courses offered by Doon Valley College of Engineering. A brief detail is as follows:
  • The fee for B.Tech. course (as fixed for the year 2015-2016) is Rs. 55,000/- per student per annum which includes Tuition Fee of Rs. 44,000/- and Development Fund of Rs. 11,000/-. The fee to be paid by the students admitted through LEET is the same as applicable to their counterpart students admitted in the four year B.Tech. Program.
  • In addition to above, the students have to pay Rs. 1,500/- as Student Fund per year, Rs. 2,000/- as Caution Money-College (One time refundable), Rs. 2,000/- as Caution Money-Hostel/Mess (One time from Boarders/Hostellers only, refundable). The fee is chargeable on semester basis.
  • The Hostel & Mess charges amount to Rs. 45,000/- per student which includes lodging, boarding, water & electricity, reading room, computer, work station, gym and sports/necessary furniture & furnishings. The Laundry and Canteen etc. is on actual basis and optional. The cost of A.C. room is separate which could be on an average Rs. 9,000/- to 10,000/- extra. The transport is as per actuals. However, it cannot be beyond Govt. fare per km. + upto 50%. The University/Board and Examination fee is as per actual. The cost of Prospectus (only once in the course) is not more than Rs. 500/-. The cost of Placement Brochure (chargeable only once in the final year) is not more than Rs. 500/-. The Insurance is on actual basis. The Uniform costs Rs. 3000/- per student which includes one Blazer, two trousers, two shirts, one tie, two socks. Subsequent requirement is optional and chargeable.
  • The additional charges for items like generator, internet (Wi-Fi), Book Bank (minimum 3 books) EDP. etc. may be taken only if these facilities are provided by Doon Valley College of Engineering. However, it cannot be more than 5% of the sum total of the tuition fee + development fund and proportionately less as decided by the State Fee Committee.
