Eligibility in Universal College of Engineering and Research
First Year of Engineering & Technology:
For Maharashtra State Candidates: The candidate should be an Indian National and Passed the HSC or its equivalent exam with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects with 50% marks in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma in Engineering & Technology with 50% marks. OR Passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by the UGC with 50% marks. These candidates should have qualified MHT-CET.
For All India Candidates/ J&K Migrant Candidates: Same as for M.S. Candidates. These candidates should have qualified MHT-CET/ JEE (Main) Paper-1.
Direct Second Year (Lateral Entry):
For M.S. Candidates/ All India Candidates: The candidate should be an Indian National and should have Passed Diploma in Engineering & Technology with 45% marks in appropriate Branch of Engineering & Technology from an AICTE or Central or State Govt. approved Institution. OR Passed B.Sc. Degree from a UGC or AIU recognized University with 45% marks and passed HSC with Mathematics as a subject, provided that students belonging to this category shall clear the subjects of Engg. Graphics/ Engg. Drawing & Engg. Mechanics of the first year Engineering Program along with second year subjects.
Note: The BC/ PwD applicants, belonging to Maharashtra State only, are given a relaxation of 5% of marks in the minimum eligibility requirement.
Admission Procedure in Universal College of Engineering and Research
First Year of Engineering & Technology:
All the eligible candidates are required to apply to the Competent Authority for admission through Centralized Admission Process (CAP) conducted by DTE, Maharashtra (For details visit www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in).
The Maharashtra State Seats [Home University (HU) seats, Other than Home University (OHU) seats] & Supernumerary Seats under TFWS are filled through CAP on the basis of the score in MHT-CET conducted by State CET Cell, Govt. of Maharashtra (For details visit www.mahacet.org).
The All India Seats & Supernumerary Seats for J&K Migrant Candidates are filled through CAP on the basis of the score in MHT-CET/ JEE (Main) Paper 1 conducted by National Testing Agency (For details visit www.nta.ac.in or https://jeemain.nta.nic.in).
For Institutional Quota Seats: the M.S. Candidates/ All India Candidates/ J&K Migrant Candidates are eligible. These candidates are required to apply initially to the Competent Authority & then apply to Universal College of Engineering and Research for admission at the Institution level. These seats are filled on the basis of the score in MHT-CET/ JEE (Main) Paper-1.
Direct Second Year (Lateral Entry):

First Year of Diploma in Engineering & Technology:
For Maharashtra State Candidates: The candidate should be an Indian National and Passed SSC or its equivalent exam from recognized Institution with at least 35% aggregate marks. The candidates who have passed Maths/ Mathematics (code 71 for Maharashtra State Board) and Science & Technology (code 72 for Maharashtra State Board) are only eligible for admission.
For All India Candidates/ J&K Migrant Candidates/ Govt. of India Nominee Candidates: Same as for M.S. Candidates.
Direct Second Year (Lateral Entry):
For M.S. Candidates/ All India Candidates: The candidate should be an Indian National and Passed HSC Science or HSC Science with Technical or HSC Science with Vocational exam of MSBSHSE or its equivalent exam or SSC with 2 Years ITI with appropriate specialization from a recognized Institution in Maharashtra State or its equivalent. These candidates should have passed SSC (10th Standard) exam of MSBSHSE with subjects English, Maths/ Mathematics (code 71) and Science & Technology (code 72).
Admission Procedure in Universal College of Engineering and Research
First Year of Diploma in Engineering & Technology:

Fee Structure of Universal College of Engineering and Research
The Fee for different courses as fixed by Shikshan Shulka Samiti, Mumbai for the year 2018-2019 in Universal College of Engineering and Research is as follows:
  • The fee for B.E. Course (1st year) is Rs. 73,280/- which includes Rs. 66,618/- as Tuition fee & Rs. 6,662/- as Development fee for Open applicants.
  • The fee for Post SSC Diploma Course (1st year) is Rs. 40,000/- which includes Rs. 36,364/- as Tuition fee & Rs. 3,636/- as Development fee for Open applicants.
