For Indian Students (all categories):
The Notification for admission is published by the Centre in the month of March every year in leading National Newspapers. The admission is based on the score in the PU-CET (P.G.) Entrance Test conducted by Panjab University, Chandigarh and an Interview. The duration of the Entrance Test is 1 hour 30 minutes and it consists of 75 multiple choice questions of one mark each. The syllabus is based broadly on the course contents on fundamentals of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology and Computer background covered during their qualifying exams including Under Graduate level. For preparing the merit list, 50% weightage is given to PU-CET (P.G.) score & 50% to the Academic Performance (For details visit http://cetpg.puchd.ac.in).
For Foreign Nationals/ PIO/ NRI Students:
These candidates are required to submit their academic certificates as a proof of passing the qualifying examination. They are required to compete amongst themselves for the seats created for them by appearing in the Entrance Test, if they are in India. However, those living abroad at the time of the Entrance Test are exempted from the Entrance Test. They have to comply with Visa and any other requirements prescribed by the Govt. of India, U.T. Administration, Chandigarh as well as Panjab University, Chandigarh from time to time.
