The National Fire Service College Nagpur is a Co-Educational, Non-Autonomous, Non-Minority, Government College. It functions under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi. It was established in the year 1955 at Rampur (Uttar Pradesh) and was later shifted to Nagpur in 1956.

The candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed the HSC (Std. XII) exam of any State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent exam with subjects English, Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject AND Secured 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ST applicants) in the subjects Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject added together AND Obtained All India Rank in the JEE (Main) Paper 1.
The eligibility of the candidates, who are Indian Nationals & are passing the HSC (Std. XII) or equivalent exam from a School/College/exam Board situated outside India, is decided by the RTM Nagpur University Authorities. Such candidates should get their eligibility verified by the University Authorities before seeking admission to the B.E. (Fire Engineering) Course.
Physical Standard for Male candidates: Minimum Height : 165 cms. Only (Relaxable by 5 cms in the case of Garhwalls, Assamese Gorkha and member of the Schedule tribes). Chest : 81 cms. Only Unexpanded and 86 cms. Only and Expanded (Fully expanded with minimum of 5 cms. Only Expansion) Weight : min. 50 Kgs.
Physical Standard for Female candidates: Minimum Height : 157 cms. (Relaxable by 2.5 cms in the case of Garhwalls, Assamese Gorkha and member of the Scheduled tribes). Weight : 46 kgs.
Medical Standard Both for Male and Female candidates: (i) Visual : better eye – 6/6 without aid (Eligible vision – 6/6 only) Worse eye – 6/12. (ii) Colour Vision :- No colour blindness. (iii) The candidate must not have knock-knee, flat foot, squint eyes and stammering. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect.

All the eligible candidates are required to fill the Online Application Form which is made available on the NFSC Website (www.nfscnagpur.nic.in). The candidates are short-listed based on the merit/ rank in the JEE (Main) Paper 1 conducted by National Testing Agency (For details visit www.nta.ac.in or https://jeemain.nta.nic.in). The Merit list is displayed on the College Website and the candidates are called for the Medical Verification by the Board constituted by National Fire Service College Nagpur. The admission offered by NFSC is subject to clearance by Nagpur University.

• The fee for B.E. Course (1st year) is Rs. 24,000/- which includes Rs. 15,000/- as Tuition fee, Rs. 5,000/- as Development fee & Rs. 4,000/- as Other fee for Open applicants. The fee for TFWS candidates is Rs. 9,000/-. In addition, there may be fees for various funds charged by RTM Nagpur University, which the candidates are required to pay at a later stage. This fees does not include the Caution Money and other Deposits.
• The Hostel fee is Rs. 9,000/- per semester per candidate. The Messing charges are Rs. 220/- per day which includes Morning Tea, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. The messing charges are to be paid to the mess operator in advance before the commencement of the Course on monthly basis.
