First Year of Engineering & Technology:
For Maharashtra State Candidates: The candidate should be an Indian National and Passed the HSC or its equivalent exam with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects with 50% marks in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma in Engineering & Technology with 50% marks. OR Passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by the UGC with 50% marks. These candidates should have qualified MHT-CET.
For J&K Migrant Candidates: Same as for M.S. Candidates. These candidates should have qualified MHT-CET/ JEE (Main) Paper-1.
Direct Second Year (Lateral Entry):
For M.S. Candidates: The candidate should be an Indian National and should have Passed Diploma in Engineering & Technology with 45% marks in appropriate Branch of Engineering & Technology from an AICTE or Central or State Govt. approved Institution. OR Passed B.Sc. Degree from a UGC or AIU recognized University with 45% marks and passed HSC with Mathematics as a subject, provided that students belonging to this category shall clear the subjects of Engg. Graphics/ Engg. Drawing & Engg. Mechanics of the first year Engineering Program along with second year subjects.
Note: The BC/ PwD applicants, belonging to Maharashtra State only, are given a relaxation of 5% of marks in the minimum eligibility requirement.

The admission is based on the score in an Entrance Test conducted by SNDT University at Mumbai and Pune in June & December and admissions are given in January & July. The Test comprises of Research Aptitude Test (Reasoning ability, Analytical ability, Critical thinking, Language comprehension, Elementary Mathematics ability, Perseverance) & Subject Specific Test (Objective questions, Short answer questions, Long answer questions). The results of the Entrance Test are displayed in all the Campuses of the University and also on the University Website. Those who clear the Test (with minimum of 50% marks separately in the Research Aptitude Test and Subject Specific Test for open category and 45% for reserved category) are invited for Interview.
