About MAT :

The Management Aptitude Test is an all India level Entrance Test conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA) since 1988 to facilitate Business Schools to screen candidates for admission to MBA and allied programs. The Management Aptitude Test was approved by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India as a National level Test in the year 2003. Thus, any National or International Business School can consider MAT Score for admission to its MBA and allied programs based on the Score Cards issued to the candidates by AIMA.

The All India Management Association (AIMA) was created as an apex body of professional management with active support of the Government of India and Industry in the year 1957 to pool management thoughts in the country. AIMA is a federation of Local Management Associations (LMAs’). It today affiliates 64 LMAs’ across the country and two co-operating management associations, i.e., Qatar Indian Management Association and Mauritius Management Association. AIMA has established close linkages with over 3000 Institutions and over 30,000 individual professionals directly and through network of the Local Management Associations.

How to Register for MAT :

• The candidate is required to visit AIMA Website Link (https://mat.aima.in/sep18) and click at “Fresh Candidate to create Log In (New Log In)” OR click at “Register (New Log In)”.
• A new window named ‘Register to Apply Online’ will open. Fill the Details : Name, Date of Birth, E-mail ID, Mobile Number, Password & Other details. The candidate must have a valid E-mail ID for applying Online to receive the OTP for E-mail ID verification.
• Press the button “Submit”, an OTP will be send to your E-mail ID; enter the OTP in the space provided and click at button “Verify & Submit” to create your Login. The confirmation message for the New Login created will be sent on your E-mail.
• Now keep ready with you the following Details/ Documents : Valid E-mail ID (the E-mail ID should have been valid for at least 1 year), Personal details, Educational qualification details, Image of scanned photograph in jpg/jpeg format and size should not exceed 100 KB and not less than 40 KB, Image of scanned signature in jpg/jpeg format and size should not exceed 40 KB and not less than 10 KB.
• Now again visit AIMA Website Link (https://mat.aima.in/sep18) and click at “Complete Registration Process (Log In to your Account)” OR click at “Login (To Complete the Registration Form)”.
• A new window named ‘Login to Complete Process’ will open. Fill the Details : E-mail ID, Password & Date of Birth & Press the button “Submit”.
• Fill the details on the Online Registration Form. Save the information by clicking on the button “Save”. Also fill the Choices for Management Institutes. Now, with an additional fee of Rs. 118/- per MI choice, the candidate can select as many as MIs’. In case the candidate wishes to edit any information, he/she has to log-in again using the same Email‐ID and Date of Birth. After editing the information, ensure to save it by clicking on the button “Save”.
• Upload scanned image of a recent passport size colored Photograph, having white background and without any harsh shadows. Those who wear glasses should ensure that there are no reflections and eyes can be clearly seen. Both ears should be visible. The Photographs with caps, hats & dark glasses will be rejected. Religious headgear is allowed, provided it does not cover the face.
  Upload Signature : Sign on white paper with Black ink pen and scan the signature area only and not the entire page. The scanned signature would appear on the Admit Card & it should match the signature on the answer sheet at the time of the written test and at the time of Interview, otherwise the candidature is liable to be cancelled.
• Pay the Registration Fee through Online Mode only, i.e., Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking. The fee is : Rs. 1,550/- for PBT, Rs. 1,550/- for CBT & Rs. 2,650/- for Both PBT & CBT.
• The candidate can view the Registration Form after making payment and can take print out of the same for his/her record. The candidate can edit few details after downloading and reviewing the Registration Form

How to Download MAT Admit Card :

• The Admit Card for Management Aptitude Test is made available on the AIMA Website, 7 days before the Paper Based Test Date.
• The provisionally registered candidate is required to visit the Official Website of AIMA (http://www.aima.in/testing-services/mat/mat.html OR https://mat.aima.in/sep18) & select MAT Admit Card OR visit AIMA Website Link (http://apps.aima.in/matadmitcard.aspx).
• A Log-in Window will open.
• Enter your On-line Application Number, Date of Birth & Name/E-mail ID. Click at Submit to View your Admit Card.
• The candidate has to take the print-out of the Admit Card for further use.
• The Admit Card contains Candidate’s Name, Form No., Roll No., Test Date, Test Time and Test Venue Address with Center Code. The candidate has to strictly follow the date and time allotted to him/her in the case of Computer Based Test.
• Specific Admit Card is generated both for the candidates who opted for the Paper Based Test and for the Computer Based Test.
• No separate special card is issued. Also, the activation of a Test Center depends upon the minimum number of registration.

How to View & Download MAT Result & Score Card :

• The Result of MAT is declared & the Score Card is made available on the AIMA Website after 3 Weeks from the Date of the Test or during last week of the month of the Test.
• The candidate is required to visit the Official Website of AIMA (http://www.aima.in/testing-services/mat/mat.html & Under the Quick Links Tab, select MAT Result.
• A Log-in Window will open.
• Enter your Registration Number & Roll Number. Click at Submit to View & Download your Score Card.
• The candidates can also get his/her Score Card by visiting AIMA Website Link (http://apps.aima.in/mat_input_result.aspx). He/she has to enter his/her Roll No., Form No. & Month of Test. Click at Submit to View & Download your Score Card.
• No separate Score Card is sent by Post or E-mail.
• The Validity of the Management Aptitude Test Score for that Particular Session for most Management Institutes’/Universities’ is ONE YEAR.
• The Score is acceptable even to certain other Institutes for considering admission of candidates for Post Graduate Degree/ Diploma Programs, besides the registered Institutes, subject to specific cut-off marks and other admission parameters.
