The Faculty of Engineering and Technology Tripura University was set up by the Tripura University, Suryamaninagar. The Departments of Computer Science & Engineering & Electrical Engineering were established in the year 2005, the Department of Information Technology was established in the year 2002, the Departments of Electronics & Communication Engineering, Material Science & Engineering, Chemical & Polymer Engineering were established in the year 2016.
The University provides Centralized Library, Computing Facilities, Central Instrumentation Centre, Separate Hostels for boys & girls, Own Health Centre with full time doctors and nurses within the campus, A branch of SBI with 2 ATMs, A post office, Sports facility, Training & Placement Cell, Canteen, NET Coaching Centre, NSS Unit, Equal Opportunity Cell.

Note 2: The General category candidates should have scored 60% aggregate marks (of all the years) or equivalent CGPA of 6.5 in the qualifying exam. The SC/ ST/ PwD applicants are given a relaxation of 5% of marks in the minimum eligibility requirement.
