First Year of Engineering & Technology:
Passed 10+2 exam from any recognized Central/ State Board of Secondary Examination or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with any one of the subject – Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Computer Science/ Biology with minimum 50% marks for General Category and 45% marks in case of SC/ST applicants. The candidates opting for Biotechnology must have passed PCBM (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics) at 10+2 Exam.
Direct Second Year (Lateral Entry):
Passed three year Diploma in Engineering/ Technology from an AICTE approved Institution with minimum 50% marks for General Category and 45% marks in case of SC/ST applicants.
OR Passed B.Sc. Degree from a UGC recognized University with minimum 50% marks for General Category and 45% marks in case of SC/ST applicants & also passed 10+2 exam with Mathematics as a subject.
Note: The candidates having B.Sc. Degree from a UGC recognized University are also eligible for admission to the first year of Engineering Degree courses subject to the vacancies in the first year class in as the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.

The admission is based on the merit/ rank in the JEE (Main) Paper 1 conducted by National Testing Agency (For details visit www.nta.ac.in or https://jeemain.nta.nic.in).
The admission process starts in the month of June. The candidates with valid JEE (main) score may apply directly by obtaining the Admission form and Brochure from the School of Engineering & Technology, Nagaland University Administrative Block, Residential Campus, Landmark Colony, Dimapur – 797112, Nagaland. The candidates may also download the application forms from http://nagauniversity.ac.in and deposit the application fee in the University account. The candidates are required to deposit the Admission form along with the fee counter foil. The candidates without valid JEE (main) score can also apply against the vacant seats (For details visit http://nagauniversity.ac.in).
