First Year of Engineering & Technology:
H.S. (10+2) Science or equivalent exam with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology having passed in each of the subjects with 45% marks in the above subjects taken together (40% marks for SC/ ST/ Minority applicants).
Direct Second Year (Lateral Entry):
Diploma in the respective branch of Engg./ Technology of three years duration (after 10th or 10+2) from a recognized State Board of Technical Education with 50% marks.
OR Passed B.Sc. degree with 50% marks from a recognized University as defined by UGC with Mathematics & Physics as subjects.

First Year of Engineering & Technology:
The admission is based on the merit/ rank in the JEE (Main) Paper 1 conducted by National Testing Agency (For details visit www.nta.ac.in or https://jeemain.nta.nic.in)/ ERDF Common Entrance Test (EDRF-CET) conducted by ERD Foundation, Guwahati at different Test Centres of North Eastern Region (For details visit http://rist.ac.in)/ State CEE/ Nomination by the concerned Directorate of Technical & Higher Education. The Counselling for admission is conducted at the Institute Campus.
Direct Second Year (Lateral Entry):
The admission is based on the marks in the qualifying exam. The eligible candidates are required to submit the duly filled application forms in Admission Offices & are not required to appear in the Entrance Test.

In addition to above, the students have to pay at the time of admission: The Admission fee of Rs. 20,000/-. The Caution Deposit (refundable at the completion of the course) of Rs. 25,000/- has to be paid before the commencement of classes. The Re-Registration Fee is Rs. 10,000/- for 2nd Year, 3rd Year & 4th Year respectively.
From 3rd Semester onwards: the Institute charges Rs. 3,000/- per student per semester towards finishing school, training, placement drives and for other certification courses.
The students desirous of availing Hostels & Accommodations have to pay: Rs. 5,000/- as Admission Fee (Non-refundable), Rs. 3,000/- as Caution Deposit. The charges for different category rooms in boys hostel are – Three Seater (Economy) Rs. 6,340/-, Three Seater (Attached bathroom) Rs. 6,840/-, Two Seater (Economy) Rs. 6,840/-, Two Seater (Attached bathroom) Rs. 7,840/-, Single Room (Attached Bathroom) Rs. 9,840/-. The charges for different category rooms in girls hostel are – Two/Three Seater Rs. 6,840/-.
