Eligibility
  • First Year of Engineering & Technology:
    Passed Senior Secondary (10+2) or an equivalent examination with at least five subjects with one of the subjects of English obtaining at least 60% marks (40% marks for SC/ST category candidates) in Physics, Mathematics and one subject of Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science taken together.
    OR Passed Diploma in Engineering/ Technology of 3 years or more duration with minimum 60% marks (40% marks for SC/ST category candidates and 50% marks in case of NRI Seat) from any recognized Board of Technical Education/ University or its equivalent Diploma examination.
    However, for admission to B. Tech. Biotechnology, the candidates with the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Biotechnology are eligible.
  • Direct Second Year (Lateral Entry):
    Passed 3 years Diploma examination from any recognized Board/ University with at least 60% marks (40% marks for SC/ST category candidates & 50% marks in case of NRI Seat) in appropriate branch of Engineering/ Technology.
    OR B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University with at least 60% marks (40% marks for SC/ST category candidates & 50% marks in case of NRI Seat) and passed XII standard with Mathematics as a main subject.
Admission Procedure
  • First Year of Engineering & Technology:
    The admission is based on the score in the JEE (Main) Exam conducted by JEE Apex Board of the C.B.S.E. (For details visit www.jeemain.nic.in). The Counselling for admission is conducted by Maharishi Markandeshwar University, Mullana-Ambala. The candidates are required to download the Prospectus from the University Website, fill the admission form and appear for Counselling on the fixed date & time.
    75% seats are filled on the basis of the score in JEE (Main) Exam, while the remaining 25% seats (including 15% seats for children/ wards of NRI’s) are filled by the College on the basis of marks secured in the Qualifying examination (For details visit http://mmumullana.org/).
  • Direct Second Year (Lateral Entry):
    The admission for 75% open and 25% management Lateral Entry seats (including 15% seats, if any, for children/ wards of NRI’s) is based on the marks secured in the Qualifying examination.

For M. Tech. Electrical Engineering: The candidate should have passed with minimum 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ST category candidates) in aggregate in B.E./ B.Tech. in Electrical Engg./Electrical & Electronics Engg./ Instrumentation & Control Engg. or its equivalent examination from any recognized University.
For M.Tech. Bio-Technology: The candidate should have passed with minimum 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ST category candidates) in aggregate in B.E./ B.Tech. or its equivalent examination in the discipline of Engg./Medical/ Dental/ Pharmacy OR M.Sc. in all branches of Science or equivalent examination from any recognized University. Preference is given to the candidates with B.Tech. in Bio-Tech/ Chemical Engg. OR M.Sc. in Chemistry & Biological Sciences. Non-Medical students are required to undergo a pre-requisite course in the discipline to be arranged by the University.
Admission Procedure
The admission to M. Tech. is based on the score in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science and all the Indian Institutes of Technology on behalf of the National Coordination Board – GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. Fee Structure of MM Engineering College Mullana Ambala
  • The fee for B.Tech. course (as fixed for the year 2015-2016) is Rs. 1,00,000/- per student per annum which includes Tuition Fee of Rs. 80,000/- and Development Fund of Rs. 20,000/-. The fee to be paid by the students admitted through LEET is the same as applicable to their counterpart students admitted in the four year B.Tech. Program. The Fee for NRI’s /Foreign Nationals is 20,000 US Dollars for full course.
  • The fee for M.Tech. course (as fixed for the year 2015-2016) is Rs. 1,00,000/- per student per annum which includes Tuition Fee of Rs. 80,000/- and Development Fund of Rs. 20,000. The Fee for NRI’s /Foreign Nationals is 10,000 US Dollars for full course.
  • The Fee has to be deposited at the time of Counselling. There is an annual increase of 7% in the Tuition fee. University Charges are extra as per University norms. The Students Fund for all the students is Rs.2,000/- per annum. One time refundable College Caution Money is charged @ Rs. 2,000/-. The Hostel & Transport Charges are extra. The Fee once paid is not refunded under any circumstances, However, the security is refunded if claimed within one year of the completion of the course. The students who wish to leave the Institute mid-stream, have to deposit the fee for the remaining period of the course as per judgment of the Hon’ble Supreme Court in the case of Islamic Academy of Education and others Vs State of Karnataka & PA Inamdar case.
