First Year of Engineering & Technology:
For Maharashtra State Candidates: The candidate should be an Indian National and having domicile of Maharashtra State and/or born in Maharashtra State. Passed the HSC or its equivalent exam with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects with 50% marks in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma in Engineering & Technology with 50% marks. These candidates should have qualified MHT-CET/ PERA CET.
For All India Candidates: Same as for M.S. Candidates except that the condition of domicile is waived off. These candidates should have qualified MHT-CET/ PERA CET/ JEE (Main) Paper-1.
Direct Second Year (Lateral Entry):
For M.S. Candidates/ All India Candidates: The candidate should be an Indian National and should have Passed Diploma in Engineering & Technology with 45% marks in appropriate Branch of Engineering & Technology from an AICTE or Central or State Govt. approved Institution. OR Passed B.Sc. Degree from a UGC or AIU recognized University with 45% marks and passed HSC with Mathematics as a subject, provided that students belonging to this category shall clear the subjects of Engg. Graphics/ Engg. Drawing & Engg. Mechanics of the first year Engineering Program along with second year subjects.
Note: The BC/ PwD applicants, belonging to Maharashtra State only, are given a relaxation of 5% of marks in the minimum eligibility requirement.

First Year of Engineering & Technology:
All the eligible candidates are required to register & fill the Application form On-line only on Website (https://mgmu.ac.in). The merit list is displayed on the Website & the Counselling is conducted at the College campus.
The Maharashtra State Seats are filled on the basis of the score in MHT-CET conducted by State CET Cell, Govt. of Maharashtra (For details visit www.mahacet.org)/ PERA CET conducted by Preeminent Education & Research Association (For details visit www.peraindia.in).
The All India Seats are filled on the basis of the score in MHT-CET/ PERA CET/ JEE (Main) Paper 1 conducted by National Testing Agency (For details visit www.nta.ac.in or https://jeemain.nta.nic.in).
Direct Second Year (Lateral Entry):
All the eligible candidates are required to register & fill the Application form On-line only on Website (www.mgmu.ac.in). The admission is based on the marks secured in the qualifying exam and the Counselling is conducted at the College campus.

Four Academic years comprising of 8 Semesters, Three Academic years comprising of 6 Semesters for lateral entry candidates.

For M.S. Candidates/ All India Candidates:
For Non-Sponsored Candidates: The candidate should be an Indian National and having domicile of Maharashtra State. Passed Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant branch of Engineering & Technology from AICTE or Central or State Government approved Institutions or equivalent with 50% marks (45% marks for BC/ PwD applicants belonging to Maharashtra State only). For All India candidates, the condition of domicile is waived off.
For Sponsored Candidates: Minimum of 2 years of full time work experience in a registered Firm/ Company/ Industry/ Educational and/or Research Institute/ any Government Department or Government Autonomous Organization in the relevant field in which admission is being sought.
For M.Tech. Computer Science & Engineering (Digital Transformation): Passed (or appeared in the final year exam) in B.E./ B.Tech. in Computer Hardware & Software/ Information Technology/ Computer Science/ Computer Engg. or Technology/ Computer Science & Engg. or Technology/ Computer Telecommunication with valid GATE score in CS.
For M.Tech. Electrical Power Systems: Passed (or appeared in the final year exam) in B.E./ B.Tech. in Electrical & Electronics (Power System)/ Electrical & Electronics Engg./ Electrical & Power Engg./ Electrical Engg (Electrical & Power)/ Electrical Engg (Electronics & Power)/ Electrical Engg./ Electrical/ Electronics & Power/ Power Engg./ Power Electronics with valid GATE score in EE.
For M.Tech. Mechanical Engineering: Passed (or appeared in the final year exam) in B.E./ B.Tech. in Automotive Design/ Automobile Engg./ Industrial & Production Engg./ Industrial Engg./ Manufacturing Engg./ Mechanical & Automation Engg./ Mechanical & Energy/ Mechanical Automation Engg./ Mechanical Engg./ Mechanical Engg. (Sandwich)/ Production Engg./ Production Engg. (Sandwich) with valid GATE score in ME.
For M.Tech. Structural Engineering: Passed (or appeared in the final year exam) in B.E./ B.Tech. in Civil & Water Management Engg./ Civil Engg./ Construction Engg./ Energy & Environmental/ Environmental Engg./ Environmental Science & Technology/ Structural Engg./ Town & Country Planning with valid GATE score in CE.
For M.Tech. VLSI & Embedded Systems: Passed (or appeared in the final year exam) in B.E./ B.Tech. in Process Electronics/ Electrical & Electronics Engg./ Electronic & Communication Engg. or Technology/ Electronics & Power Engg./ Electronics & Instrumentation Engg./ Electronics & Telecommunication Engg./ Electronics & Telecommunication Engg. (Technologynician Electronic Radio)/ Electronics Design Technology/ Electronics Product Design Technology/ Electronics Engg. or Technology/ Industrial Electronics/ Power Electronics/ Telecommunication Engg. with valid GATE score in EC.

The admission is based on the score in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) conducted jointly by the IISc and all the IITs. The seats remaining vacant, thereafter, are filled on the basis of marks secured in the MGMU-M.TECH CET conducted by MGM University (For details visit https://mgmu.ac.in)/ PERA CET conducted by Preeminent Education & Research Association (For details visit www.peraindia.in).
For Maharashtra State Seats & All India Seats [Non-Sponsored & Sponsored seats]: the qualified & eligible candidates are required to fill up & submit Online Application form on the Website (https://mgmu.ac.in). Two Academic years comprising of 4 Semesters.

For M.S. Candidates/ All India Candidates:

OR Passed (10+3) Full time Diploma exam recognized by AICTE or Central or State Government or its equivalent exam with 50% marks in aggregate with Mathematics as compulsory subject. These candidates should have qualified NATA/ JEE (Main) Paper-2. For All India candidates, the condition of domicile is waived off.

These candidates should have qualified GATE/ MAH-M.ARCH-CET/ MGMU-M.ARCH CET/ PERA CET. For All India candidates, the condition of domicile is waived off.

These candidates should have qualified MAH-MCA-CET/ AIMCET/ MGMU-MCA CET/ PERA CET. For All India candidates, the condition of domicile is waived off.
