Location of the Sanctuary:

This Wildlife Sanctuary is located at a distance of 45 Km from Pratapgarh City in District Pratapgarh, Rajasthan.

History of the Sanctuary:

It was established in the year 1979.

Attractions of the Sanctuary:

It is spread over an area of 423 Sq. Km. The area of the Sanctuary comprises of Malwa Plateau and the Aravalli ranges, covered mainly by thickly wooded bamboo and dry deciduous forests. Five seasonal rivers namely Budhho, Jakham, Karmoi, Sitamata and Tankiya flow through the Sanctuary. It is habitat to a rich variety of flora which include many varieties of trees, medicinal plants, shrubs and climbers and the fauna includes Chousingha, Caracal, Wild Boar, Pangolin, Leopards, Jackal, flying Squirrel, Black Naped Monarch Lesser Florican, Hyena, Fox, Deer and more than 100 varieties of birds.
