Attractions of Winter Festival:
The Winter festival is held every year during the last week of December for three days in Mount Abu, District Sirohi, Rajasthan.
This colorful festival is organised by the Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation and the Municipal Board of Mount Abu City. It celebrates the warmth and cheerfulness of the natives of this hill station, who welcome the tourists from the depth of their hearts. The hospitality of the people, their colorful culture and exotic location make this festival a never to be forgotten experience.
The festival begins with a ceremonial procession, which start from the RTDC Hotel Shikhar and gathers at the Nakki Lake Chowk where the folk performances of Rajasthan, Gujarat, Punjab & Haryana’s folk artists are organized.
Then various competitions full of excitement like Boat race, Skating race, Panihari matka race, Tug of War between foreign tourists and domestic tourists and Musical chair race are held. Then there is a Band show, Mehandi mandana, Deepotsave & in the last Fireworks are very attractive to watch and participate. A display of dazzling fireworks is done on all three days.
