The Faculty of Science and Technology ICFAI University Tripura has been established by ICFAI University Tripura.

The Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India University, Tripura is a Private University which was established in the year 2004 through an Act of State Legislature (Tripura Act 8 of 2004). The University has been approved by the University Grants Commission, under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956. The University is competent to award Degrees as specified by UGC under section 22 of the UGC Act vide Letter No.F.8 (4)-Law/leg-1/2004 Dated-April 1st, 2004. The University is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities, London; the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi and the Federation of Universities, India.

The UGC vide letter No. F.No.7-1/2009 (CPP-I/PU) dt. 29/11/12 has clarified that ICFAI University Tripura is empowered to award B.Tech. Degree & the University is not required to take approval of AICTE to conduct B.Tech. programs.

Eligibility
  • First Year of Engineering & Technology:
    Pass in 10+2 or its equivalent examination from a recognized Board/University with 45% marks in aggregate (40% marks for SC/ST/OBC category candidates) with pass in each of the Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English subjects.
  • Direct Second Year (Lateral Entry):
    Pass in 3-years diploma course in respective branch of Engineering from a recognized Board of Technical Education with 45% marks in aggregate (40% marks for SC/ST/OBC category candidates).
Admission Procedure
The selection of applicants into the B.Tech. and B.Tech. (Lateral Entry) programs is made through screening of Application and Admission Test. Duration
Four Academic years comprising of 8 Semesters, Three Academic years comprising of 6 Semesters for lateral entry candidates.
Ph.D. Programs:
  • Faculty of Science and Technology ICFAI University Tripura offers Ph.D. in Engineering.
Eligibility
Post-Graduate Degree of minimum 2 years duration or its equivalent in Engineering/ Technology or allied subjects with 55% marks (or equivalent CGPA). A minimum of 3 years service in Industry/ Banking/ Financial Services/ Government/ Academia etc.
Admission Procedure
The selection of applicants into the Ph.D. Program is made through Application, Research Aptitude Test (a Computer Based Test) conducted at select locations all over India on Date & time as fixed by ICFAI University Tripura. Fee Structure of Faculty of Science and Technology ICFAI University Tripura
The Fee for different courses as fixed for the year 2016-2017 in Faculty of Science and Technology ICFAI University Tripura is as follows:
  • The fee for B.Tech. course is Rs. 20,000/- per student as admission fee and Rs. 42,000/- per student per semester as Program fee for candidates from North Eastern States of India & Rs. 52,500/- per student per semester as Program fee for candidates from other parts of India. The fee to be paid by the students admitted through LEET is the same as applicable to their counterpart students admitted in the four year B.Tech. Program.
  • The fee for BCA course is Rs. 10,000/- per student as admission fee and Rs. 20,000/- per student per semester as Program fee for candidates from North Eastern States of India & Rs. 22,000/- per student per semester as Program fee for candidates from other parts of India.
  • The fee for Integrated BCA-MCA course is Rs. 10,000/- per student as admission fee and Rs. 26,800/- per student per semester as Program fee for candidates from North Eastern States of India & Rs. 30,000/- per student per semester as Program fee for candidates from other parts of India.
  • The fee for MCA course is Rs. 10,000/- per student as admission fee and Rs. 37,000/- per student per semester as Program fee for candidates from North Eastern States of India & Rs. 42,000/- per student per semester as Program fee for candidates from other parts of India.
  • The fee for Ph.D. course is Rs. 10,000/- per student as admission fee and Rs. 30,000/- per student per semester as Program fee.
  • The B.Tech., BCA, MCA, Integrated BCA-MCA students are required to pay a caution deposit of Rs. 10,000/- (refundable) along with the 1st semester fee. The candidates desirous of availing transport facility from City to the Campus are required to pay Rs. 4,500/- per semester. The fee for Hostel accommodation is Rs. 12,000/- per semester for 1st year, Hostel Deposit (refundable) is Rs. 10,000/-, the Utility Expenses are Rs. 1,500/- per semester & the Mess Charges are as per actual.
